Aurora Community Mourns the Loss of Kaden and Jackson – A Message from Sheriff Andy Rohrich
The Aurora Police Department is deeply saddened by the recent tragedy that has taken the lives of two beloved members of our community, Kaden and Jackson. “Our hearts ache for Kaden and Jackson’s family and friends,” Sheriff Andy Rohrich said in a heartfelt statement released Tuesday. The sheriff’s words echo the collective grief felt across Aurora’s neighborhoods—from Cherry Creek to the Southlands—where friends, neighbors, and coworkers have gathered to offer support.
Sheriff Rohrich urged residents to come together, reminding everyone that Aurora’s strength lies in its compassion. “In moments like this, we lean on each other,” he added, encouraging those affected to reach out to local counseling services, such as the Aurora Crisis Center and the Aurora Family Support Network. Community members are also invited to attend a candle‑light vigil at Aurora City Hall this Friday at 7 p.m., where families can share memories and find solace.
As Aurora residents, we are called to stand united, offering a listening ear, a helping hand, and a reminder that no one has to face loss alone. Together, we honor Kaden and Jackson and uphold the caring spirit that defines our city.
