Thursday Night Lights: Aurora Prep Roundup for Oct. 8
If you blinked, you might have missed the chaos—but Aurora’s Thursday night slate delivered exactly the kind of late-season drama we live for. From the turf at Legacy Stadium to the diamonds at Aurora Sports Park, the 25-55 crowd had plenty to cheer (and dissect at Friday morning coffee) across football, softball, soccer, volleyball, flag football, and field hockey.
Football Takes Center Stage Week 7 in the Centennial League and EMAC didn’t disappoint. Over at Stutler Bowl, the Cherry Creek Bruins looked to keep their playoff seeding perfect against a scrappy Grandview Wolves squad that plays spoiler better than anyone. Meanwhile, Eaglecrest hosted Smoky Hill in a battle for Centennial League South bragging rights—always a physical, penalty-heavy affair under the lights. Down in the EMAC, Overland traveled to Rangeview for a crosstown classic where the "Bell" trophy stays on the line, while Vista PEAK Prep looked to keep their surprising surge alive against Gateway at Aurora Public Schools Stadium.
