2026 Class 5A High School Football Playoff Bracket Unveiled – What Aurora Fans Need to Know
On Sunday, the Colorado High School Activities Association (CHSAA) released the official 2026 Class 5A football playoff bracket, and Aurora residents are right in the middle of the action. The bracket pits the state’s top 32 teams against each other in a single‑elimination showdown that will culminate with the state championship at Folsom Field in Boulder.
For Aurora’s own powerhouses—Aurora Central, Aurora West, and Aurora East—this is the moment they’ve been working toward all season. All three schools earned seeds in the top half of the bracket, meaning they’ll host their first-round games at their home stadiums, drawing crowds of families, alumni, and local supporters. Expect Friday night lights at Aurora Central’s stadium on Oct. 23, followed by a Saturday showdown at Aurora West on Oct. 24, and a Sunday primetime clash at Aurora East on Oct. 25.
The CHSAA’s release also outlines travel logistics, TV coverage on the Colorado Sports Network, and ticket information—crucial details for anyone planning a weekend of high‑school football fun. Keep an eye on the official CHSAA website for updates on dates, times, and any bracket reshuffles due to weather.
