Denver Nuggets Open Their Season With a Strong Start – What Aurora Fans Need to Know
Aurora’s basketball crowd got an early thrill on Thursday night when the Denver Nuggets rolled out the welcome mat for their first game of the 2024‑25 NBA season. Aaron Gordon set the tone, dropping 20 points with his trademark energy on the wing. He was flanked by the league’s most versatile big man, Nikola Jokic, who chipped in 13 points (and, as always, his usual 10‑plus rebounds and assists). Veteran sharpshooter DeMar DeRozan matched Jokic’s tally, also adding 13 points and a handful of clutch free throws down the stretch.
The Nuggets’ balanced attack gave Aurora fans plenty to cheer about, especially those who’ve been counting down the days since the 2023‑24 playoff run. The win was more than just a numbers game—it signaled a healthy mix of inside power, perimeter shooting, and veteran poise that should keep the Mile‑High team competitive all season long.
If you missed the live action, you weren’t alone. Aurora’s favorite sports hubs—The Aurora Ale House, Mile High Sports Bar, and The Pub at 12th—already have “watch‑again” nights scheduled for next week. Grab a local craft brew, wear your Nuggets gear, and relive Gordon’s highlight‑reel drives and Jokic’s silky‑smooth passes.
Stay tuned to Aurora’s own Aurora Sports Gazette for post‑game analysis, upcoming game dates, and the best spots to catch the Nuggets live. This is just the beginning, and Aurora fans are ready to ride the wave all the way to the playoffs.
